We are pleased to announce that effective the end of business September 7, 2007, Shepard Bros., Inc. has acquired the assets of Shrader Chemical. This purchase marks another milestone in Shepard Bros., Inc.'s long term growth strategy.
Shrader Chemical, founded by Josephine Shrader Kearns in 1964, had grown over the years to become a respected supplier of cleaning and sanitation chemicals to the Food and Beverage Industry in Southern California. Shrader has also supplied traditional cooling and boiler water treatment products, a broad line of vehicle cleaners, commercial laundry products and janitorial cleaners to a wide variety of customers and markets. Shrader's product mix and market position represent an ideal strategic addition to further strengthen Shepard Bros., Inc.'s preferred supplier status to the Food and Beverage Industry.
As part of the sale, Shepard Bros. also acquired Shrader's manufacturing resources, further enhancing Shepard Bros.' existing extensive manufacturing capabilities.
